After working closely with the pipeline departmens in the Animation and VFX studios I have worked in I became evermore fascinated in the world of coding and automation. The idea of creating custom systems for artists that would load all assets and data needed for each task, verify information when submitting and automatically update statues for producers on project tracking software to avoid extra steps tickled the laziness in my brain that loves automation and efficiency.
Completed Harvard’s CS50x Introduction to Computer Science, a rigorous and comprehensive course covering foundational computer science principles. Gained hands-on experience with programming languages such as C, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while developing problem-solving skills in algorithms, data structures, memory management, and web development. Applied computational thinking to practical projects, including database design, and software development, reinforcing a strong technical foundation.
For my final project for CS50 and for my own use, I wanted to make a tool that would make sending speculative email applications.
This program connects to your Gmail account securely using Google’s own app password and takes in a CSV input of email addresses, Email body and subject, text box for cover letter and pdf CV file. The program them loops through each email, sending an email with body and cover letter addressing the recipient and attached CV.
