In 2018, I started spray painting as a creative outlet and a bit of a delayed teenaged rebellion. Initially, I was sneaking around with a large bag of rattling paint cans, hopping fences and exploring abandoned mining buildings for suitable walls to paint on. Once my parents found out, I was rather annoyed that my they supported my creative vandalism rather than grounding me to my room.

"I have known and worked with Pyran for over 7 years. He has produced some amazing murals for our town centre. As a Business Improvement District, part of our job is to help increase footfall and improve the appearance of the town. Piran's artworks have certainly helped to achieve this. He is professional and a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to doing more projects with him in the future."

Kingfisher 2019

In 2018, for part St Austell’s Garden Festival I was commissioned for my first mural by St Austell BID

This mural had a simple breif of to be garden themed to match with the festival. A digital mock-up of the design was presented to the client and approved.

The size of the mural is 5 x 5 meters it took me a single day to paint from start to finish.

During the painting of the mural, Cornwall Pride showed up a double-decker bus and had a small celebration for pride month. As an ally, I painted the electricity box as a tribute.

Flowers 2020

My second and largest mural, measuring 22 x 6 meters, was with the combined brief of garden and ceramics, commissioned by White River Shopping Center in St Austell.

This mural took me over a week to paint the flowers for this mural, and I had to leave the vase partly unpainted while away for Uni before I returned at the start of 2020 to finish the vase.

For this project, I had to handle a much larger budget and a set time frame to complete the project. Due to the large volume of paint, I was able to negotiate a deal with the paint supplier a discount.
